M45 Theatre, Pleiades, Seven Sisters Cluster

Galaxian Title Tournament

RATLICK’S REALITY PRESENTS:  GENESIS

Camera fades from black to the R.R.A.T.S. logo.

Pyrotechnics explode around the arena.  Curtains of sparks shoot from the ceiling and floor mounts, streaking missiles explode near the entranceway.  A holographic image of the R.R.A.T.S. logo appears above the ring, it spins slowly on an invisible axis, then increases in speed till it explodes into a diamond shower over the fans who scream and whoop their approval.

Adam Beck

ADAM BECK: Welcome to R.R.A.T.S., which stands for Ratlick’s Reality, Action, & Thrills Spectacular!   Coming at you live, straight from the bosom of the Seven Sister’s Cluster, here on Pleiades, at the M-45 Theatre!  We are at 100% capacity for attendance here tonight.

Andy Buchanan.png

ANDY BUCHANAN: Adam, I am really excited about being here tonight. We have a great line up in store for you tonight.

ADAM BECK:  Andy, you are absolutely correct. We are starting this premiere pay-per-view off with a 16-Man Single Elimination Tournament to determine who will become our very first Galaxian Heavyweight Champion and the crowning of our champion will take place here tonight.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  That sounds great.

ADAM BECK:  That’s not all Andy.  Just before the final match, we will have two added bonus matches with competitors who did not make the brackets for tonight.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Man that sounds great!  I can hardly wait!

ADAM BECK:  As you may know, this is our very first show in Ratlick’s Reality.  This is also a brand new promotion as well.  We wanted to start this promotion off right by having our very first tournament, to crown our very first champion, on our very first show.

ANDY BUCHANAN:   A lot of “firsts” in that there sentence Adam. (chuckling)

ADAM BECK:  (chuckling) Yes, it most certainly is.  Anyway, that is the reason for this tournament, starting right here, tonight, on our very first card.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Adam with that being said, I am really excited about being here.  So let’s get this show on the road.

ADAM BECK: We take you now to our lovely in ring announcer Amber Adams.

Amber Adams - Ring Announcer - Front.png

AMBER ADAMS: This match is a first round match in the Galaxian Heavyweight Title Tournament.  Introducing first, on his way to the ring,..... he stands 7 feet tall and weighs in at 450 pounds!  He hails from Praxxis,.....BEHEMETH!!!

Andy Buchanan.png

ANDY BUCHANAN:  What an imposing physical looking monster this is!  He may become one of those most dominating forces in this promotion!

Adam Beck

ADAM BECK:  You are absolutely on point with that my friend!

Amber Adams - Ring Announcer - Front.png

AMBER ADAMS: His opponent,..... standing 6'2" and weighing in at 250 pounds,..... he hails from Ireland on planet Earth,.......... The Celtic Crusader!!!!!

Andy Buchanan.png

ANDY BUCHANAN:  This guy is not the typical looking guy you would see from Ireland on planet Earth.  Most people from Ireland have pale white looking skin.

Adam Beck

ADAM BECK:  That is absolutely on point once again my friend.  It's quite possible that maybe his parents immigrated to Ireland from another country before he was born or maybe even when he was a child.

Andy Buchanan.png

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Yes, that is very true Adam.  Very true.  Thank you for pointing that out.

MATCH 1

***12-MAN BATTLE ROYAL***

ADAM BECK: This match is under way, and Chang-Li with a right jab to Cosmic Storm, and Storm is dazed.

Chang attempts to pull Celtic Crusader into guard, but Crusader knocks Chang to the mat and catches him with a middle turnbuckle leg drop and Chang is hurt.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I don’t think I would be getting anywhere near the ropes for any kind of move.  Not very smart on Crusader’s part!

ADAM BECK:  Crusader with a Steiner Recliner that he calls the Irish Horse Clutch on Ronan, and Ronan is down.  Crusader releases and quickly goes up top and launches off with a Top Rope Shoulder tackle that he calls CELTIC LIBERATION on Blue Dragon, and Crusader attempts to eliminate Blue Dragon and Dragon, Dragon is trying to hang on, he's fighting it, but.  Crusader is being relentless, and he gets Dragon over the top, and Dragon has been eliminated.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  It took a valiant effort to get him eliminated, but he got it done, and once again, Crusader needs to stay clear of the ropes.  I’m telling you, it’s going to come back and bite him.

AMBER ADAMS:  Blue Dragon has been eliminated.

ADAM BECK:  Doomsday hits Crusader with a spike piledriver that he calls THE END IS NEAR.  Doomsday picks Crusader up and eliminates him from the match.  Crusader has been eliminated.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  That’s like immediately on the heels of the last elimination.

AMBER ADAMS:  Celtic Crusader has been eliminated.

ADAM BECK:  Doomsday hits Kodiak with THE END IS NEAR, and tries to eliminate Kodiak, but Kodiak is trying his best to block it, and Doomsday gets the big man over and Kodiak has been eliminated.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  That’s two for Doomsday so far!

AMBER ADAMS:  Kodiak has been eliminated.

ADAM BECK:  Doomsday with a swinging neckbreaker on American Vigilante, and Vigilante is down.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  That looked like a bad landing for Vigilante.

ADAM BECK:  Doomsday with THE END IS NEAR on Soul Stealer, and Doomsday tries to eliminate Stealer, and he’s still in the match.  Doomsday hits Stealer once again with THE END IS NEAR.  Doomsday once again tries to eliminate Stealer and, Stealer has been eliminated from the match, and there goes the bell, indicating that this match has indeed come to an end.

AMBER ADAMS:  Soul Stealer has been eliminated

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Doomsday eliminated 3 men in this match. WOW!  Not only that, but that last one is his own tag team partner, in The Demons of Power.

ADAM BECK:  Alright fans, that’s the end of the battle royal and we will move right on to the 8-man single elimination rounds of the tournament

TIME (3:04)

(competitors moving on are Alpha Wolf, American Vigilante, Chance Alexander, Chang-Li, Cosmic Storm, Doomsday, Richard the Conqueror, and Ronan.)

(camera cuts to the backstage area)

ADAM BECK:  There’s a limo pulling up in the backstage area.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I wonder who that could be.

ADAM BECK:  I don’t know Andy.  Considering this is a big night for us, with the premiere of Ratlick’s Reality, and on Pay-Per-View for that matter, there’s a whole host of celebrities attending here tonight.  So it could be just about anyone.

((some beautiful women step out of the limo followed by Mr. Ratlick)

Mr. Ratlick.png

(Mr. Ratlick (owner/CEO)

ANDY BUCHANAN:  It’s Mr. Ratlick!  Flanked by a gang of beautiful women.  That rascally scoundrel.

ADAM BECK:  There is Mr. Ratlick arriving at the arena.  Mr. Ratlick of course is the owner and CEO of Ratlick’s Reality.  He will be making an appearance later tonight to unveil the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship which will be the crown jewel of Ratlick’s Reality. That everyone is fighting for here tonight, for the right to be crowned the very first Champion-ever, of Ratlick’s Reality, and of course, that presentation will take place right before the final match of this tournament here tonight.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I for one can’t wait to see it.

ADAM BECK:  Alright fans, moving on.  So here’s how this tournament is going to take place.  Before each match of the first round brackets, if you will look at our large Jumbo-Tron  above the stage entrance, the images of each competitor will shuffle through and randomly select the competitors of each match.  The first competitor will be selected for the first match, and then his opponent will likewise be randomly selected.  This will of course be repeated again before each match.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  That sounds like a new and innovative concept.  I like that idea.

ADAM BECK:  After the first round matches are completed, the winners from each bracket will move onto the next round, and the tournament will continue in a normal traditional fashion, and so forth until we have a winner in our final match.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Okay Adam, if that’s all we need to know, I’m ready, let’s get started.  Are we good now?

ADAM BECK:  (chuckling) Yes my friend, we are good.  We take you now to our very lovely in-ring announcer, Miss Amber Adams.

Amber Adams - Ring Announcer - Front.png

AMBER ADAMS:  We are now ready for our first match.  This match is a first-round match in the Galaxian Heavyweight Title Tournament and is set for one fall.  If you will draw your attention to our Jumbo-Tron, we will randomly select our first participant in this match.

(The Jumbo-Tron randomly shuffles through each viable competitor and lands on American Vigilante.)

ADAM BECK:  So American Vigilante will be our first participant to enter the tournament here tonight.

AMBER ADAMS:  For our first pick here tonight, ………. Standing in at 6’2” and weighing in at 265 pounds, ………. from Philadelphia, PA, Earth, ………. AMERICAN VIGILANTE!!!!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I’ve followed this kid through his training in Ratlick’s Wrestling Academy, and he seems to be very talented.  Let’s see what he can bring to the mat here tonight, when it really counts.

AMBER ADAMS:  We will now see who will be his opponent for this match.

(The Jumbo-Tron randomly shuffles through each viable competitor once again and lands on Ronan.)

AMBER ADAMS:  His opponent, ………. Standing in at 6’1” and weighing in at 230 pounds, ………. From Rigel, ……….RONAN!!!!!

ADAM BECK:  There you Ronan's tag team partner, Richard, the Conqueror, walking out with Ronan.  Together, they will be teaming up as The Galactic Raiders.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I’ve been studying this kid as well, and he looks like he’s just a little bit out there.

ADAM BECK:  That may be the case Andy, but you have to consider, that whether you like or dislike any of our competitors, they are the future of our company.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Yes, that’s true.

ADAM BECK:  They are paving the road and laying the foundation of our company right here tonight.  They will prove to be the back-bone of our company, even when the chips are down for either one of them.  They will essentially be carrying our company upon their backs.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Yes, that is exactly right and well said.  Point taken.

MATCH 2

***FIRST ROUND MATCH: GALAXIAN TITLE TOURNAMENT***

James Adkins - Referee.png

Referee “Strict” James Adkins

ADAM BECK:  Referee James Adkins calls for the bell and this match is underway.  Vigilante with a swift kick to the gut,….. and he quickly follows up with an American Piledriver, and Ronan is down!

Vigilante picks him up to his feet, …… and he hits him with the Last Ride Powerbomb that he calls STAR SPANGLED BANNER!!  Ronan is down and Vigilante goes for the cover and 1..........2………and 3!!!  VIGILANTE GETS THE WIN!!!!!

AMERICAN VIGILANTE WINS (0:25)

AMBER ADAMS:  Here is your WINNER,….. and advancing to the next round of the GALAXIAN HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT,………. THE AMERICAN VIGILANTE!!!!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Man, what happened??!!  That was a quick match!!

ADAM BECK:  Andy, I don’t know.  What I do know is that I believe that Vigilante is making a statement!  He’s definitely here to win, and he’s certainly not playing around.  Vigilante moves on and will face the winner of the Chance Alexander/Chang-Li Match which will take place later tonight.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I think Vigilante is asking for a mic.

AMERICAN VIGILANTE:  They call this guy Ronan, huh?  Well since I just kicked his tail, I guess you can now say I just rolled all over Ronan.  Huh?  What do you think?  Anyway, I just wanted to serve notice to all you boys in the back.  You should all forget about any grand desires or illusions about becoming the Galaxian Champion.  Because you’re looking at him.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Don’t count your chickens before they hatch, as the old saying goes.

AMERICAN VIGILANTE:  Just like I mopped the floor with this little Ronan here, who apparently has lost his bid for the title, in very quick fashion, as only I can deliver, heh-heh,  I’m going to do the same with each and every one of you, that even dares to set foot in this ring with me.  Can you dig it sucka? (throws the mic down and leaves the ring)

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Wow!  That’s a bold statement.

ADAM BECK:  Our broadcast colleague Lori Michaels is at ringside now to try and catch a word with Ronan.

Lori Michaels 2.png
Ronan.png

LORI MICHAELS:  Ronan?  Ronan?  I’m just as shocked as everyone else.  That is not the way we all saw this very first match of the night going down.  I’m sure you’re just as shocked as well.

RONAN:  Shocked!  Shocked you say?!  The only thing I’m shocked about, is that I let my guard down so easily against my opponent, and he got the upper hand on me!  I honestly didn’t think my opponent was as savvy as he is.  So that’s my mistake.  I’ve got to hand it to you Vigilante,….. you saw an opportunity and you took full advantage of it.

So now, I’m challenging you to a rematch, anytime, anyplace, anywhere!  Only this is not a normal match like we just had.  No.  This has to be something special.  I’m challenging you to a BEST OF THREE FALLS MATCH!  So that way,……. by the end of the match, we will truly see once and for all, who really is the better man.

LORI MICHAELS:  Ronan, thank you for your time.  Back to you Adam.

ADAM BECK:  WOW!  Already we have a challenge laid out for a rematch for one of our future shows.  Ronan has just issued the challenge for Vigilante to face him in a BEST OF THREE FALLS MATCH!  Will Vigilante accept the challenge?

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I don’t know, but I hope he does accept the challenge.  Because I want to see if lightning can strike twice, or if Vigilante just got lucky.  Of course, what if Vigilante becomes champion tonight?  Then the title could possibly be decided in a Best of Three Falls Match.

ADAM BECK:  That could very well happen.  Let’s take a special look at Bobby Sparks.

(A video montage of Bobby Sparks is aired, showing highlights of some of his greatest training matches in Ratlick’s Wrestling Academy.)

Bobby Sparks

BOBBY SPARKS

ADAM BECK:  Bobby Sparks will be making his way to Ratlick’s Reality in the very near future.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  From what I’ve seen of some of his training sessions, he seems to be a very fine young man and a very talented athlete.  I’m sure he will do exceptionally well here on the main roster.

ADAM BECK:  Let’s take it to Amber Adams for our next match.

AMBER ADAMS:  This match is a first-round match in the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship Tournament.  If I can draw your attention once again to the Jumbo-Tron, we will see who our first competitor will be for this match.

(The Jumbo-Tron shuffles and lands on Chance Alexander)

ADAM BECK:  So Chance Alexander is our first participant in this match.

AMBER ADAMS:   Introducing first, standing 5’10”, and weighing in at 220 pounds,………. he hails from PARTS UNKNOWN, ………. CHANCE ALEXANDER!!!!!

ADAM BECK:  There you see Chance walking out with his tag team partner, Blue Dragon.  They will be teaming together as The First Wave.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I’ve also watched this guy in training, and though he seems pretty talented, at least in my opinion, he’s still got a lot of work to do.  He’s good, not real good I mind you, but he’s good.  But if he will continue to train harder and bust his butt trying to make a name for himself in this business, I think he could possibly be great some day!

ADAM BECK:  The Jumbo-Tron is shuffling once more, and,………. Chang-Li has been selected.

AMBER ADAMS:  His opponent, standing 5’9”, and weighing in at 200 pounds,………. he hails from China, on planet Earth,………. CHANG-LI!!!!!

ADAM BECK:  There you see Chang walking out with his tag team partner, Celtic Crusader.  They will be teaming together as The Assassins.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I’ve been especially keeping my eye on this guy.  He gets in the ring, trains really hard, and he busts his bottom really hard and really puts forth the effort to make it in this business.  I see this guy going places.  I see championships in this guy’s future.

ADAM BECK:  You may be right Andy, but the main question here, is can he do it tonight?  This is the night that really counts at this very moment.  This is the night that really matters.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  What are you trying to do Adam?  Are you trying to argue with me or something?  Just kidding.  But yeah, you’re right.  Can he do it tonight?  I don’t know.  We’ll just have to wait and see like everyone else.  The moment of truth shall be told.

MATCH 3

***FIRST ROUND MATCH: GALAXIAN TITLE TOURNAMENT***

Timothy Freeman - Referee.png

Referee “Lenient” Timothy Freeman

ADAM BECK:  Referee Timothy Freeman calls for the bell and this match is underway.  Both men lock up, and Chang-Li with an arm twist, and Chance Alexander escapes.  Alexander whips Chang into the corner and attempts a monkey flip and Chang moves out of the way, and Alexander crashes hard into the turnbuckles.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Good ring awareness on the part of Chang.

ADAM BECK:  Chang with open palm strikes, and Alexander is down!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Chang can be deadly with those hands and feet of his.

ADAM BECK:  Chang quickly with a Kimura and Alexander is writhing in pain!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Chang can very easily break the man’s arm with that move or even dislocate his shoulder.

ADAM BECK:  Chang quickly changes position and catches Alexander with a triangle choke.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Alexander is in a world of hurt right now.  He could very easily tap out right now, or even pass out if he doesn’t.

ADAM BECK:  Alexander is somehow fighting his way out of the hold, showing incredible resiliency and endurance.  But Chang is quickly back in control with open palm strikes and Alexander is down!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  That’s what I was just saying about how deadly Chang is with those hands and feet.  You really have to watch out for those strikes.

ADAM BECK:  Chang with a modified version of the gogolata that he calls the SHADOW NECK TIE and he has it locked in good!  Will Alexander tap out?!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  You can still see the resiliency and endurance on display here by Alexander.  This kid must really be tough to exhibit this kind of strength like this.

ADAM BECK:  Alexander fighting his way out of it and Chang quickly catches him again with a triangle choke, but no he doesn’t, Alexander escapes, but no, Chang catches him again and has it locked in pretty good!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I’ll tell you what Adam, this kid’s really impressing me.  If he continues to wrestle like he’s doing here tonight, I can see him really making a name for himself here in Ratlick’s Reality!

ADAM BECK:  Chang still has that vicious triangle choke in place, and Alexander reaches for the ropes, and the referee forces Chang to break the hold.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  That’s the only thing that’s saving this match right now for Alexander.  I think another few seconds in that triangle choke and this match would be over right now.

ADAM BECK:  Alexander is slowly rolling out of the ring, trying to look for a reprieve here, but to no avail as Chang comes out of the ring to continue the fight, but whoa!  Alexander grabs Chang and body slams him on the concrete floor outside the ring!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Where did Alexander get that sudden burst of strength from?!

ADAM BECK:  The referee is threatening a DQ, and Alexander picks up his hurt opponent and tosses him back into the ring and continues his assault.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Man, he’s really putting a beat down on him!

ADAM BECK:  Alexander tosses Chang right back out of the ring once again.  Alexander comes out of the ring and a wild brawl erupts?  Ref again threatens a DQ and Alexander tosses Chang back into the ring and continues his assault.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Man, this kid seems to be really fired up!

ADAM BECK:  Alexander with The Walls of Jericho that he calls NO CHANCE, going for a submission here.

ANDY BUCHANAN:   That move of course was made famous by Chris Jericho several decades ago who was a great wrestler and a great champion in his own right.

ADAM BECK:  Chang makes it to the ropes and the referee forces Alexander to break the hold.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I really believe he could have won it right there.

ADAM BECK:  Alexander with a Chop Block on Chang!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Man, he really clipped his knee good right there!

ADAM BECK:  Alexander locks in with NO CHANCE once again, and Chang very quickly taps out!!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  He really didn’t have much of a choice.  I mean, Alexander already had him in that grueling hold to begin with, and then nailed him perfectly with that Chop Block, so yeah, the outcome here is to be expected.

CHANCE ALEXANDER WINS (3:59)

AMBER ADAMS:  Here is your WINNER………. and advancing to the next round of the GALAXIAN HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT,………. CHANCE ALEXANDER!!!!!

ADAM BECK:  We now know that Chance Alexander is moving on to the next round of the tournament and he will be facing The American Vigilante.  Coming up next Saturday, we will be hosting our first monthly card called SATURDAY NIGHT SLAM.  The winner of tonight’s tournament, The Galaxian Champion will put his title on the line against his final opponent of the tournament in a special return match.  Plus, will begin first-round matches in an 8-Man single elimination tournament for the Interplanetary Heavyweight Championship.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I for one cannot wait to see that.   It looks like Chance Alexander has grabbed a mic.

CHANCE ALEXANDER:  Hey Vigilante!  You stand out here in this ring and tell everyone that you are the champ?  Well let me tell you and everyone else in the back.  You are looking at the champ, right here, and right now.  I may not be the biggest or baddest man in this tournament.  But I have a lot of heart.  A lot of courage, and a lot of determination.  There ain’t no way I’m walking out of here without that title.  I will destroy anyone that gets in my way.  Just like I did with this guy right here.  Take a good long hard look at him.  Because this will be your fate as well, once you step into the ring with me.

(throws down the mic and walks away)

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Like he said, he may not be the biggest or baddest.  But size and strength alone doesn’t mean squat.

ADAM BECK:  It looks like Chang-Li is stepping back into the ring and has a mike in hand.

CHANG-LI:  Chance!  I can’t believe I lost to a punk kid like you.  But I’ll tell you what you snotty nosed brat.  You better go back there in the back and find your tag team partner.  Because I’m issuing a challenge to you right now, to a special tag-team match, next week, on the debut of SATURDAY NIGHT SLAM!

The Assassins vs. The First Wave.  (Chang-Li drops the mic and leaves the ring)

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Wow!  That’s great news!  We now have two challenges issued and this one is for next week!  Will they both be accepted, or not?  I for one hope they will!

ADAM BECK:  Hopefully we will know for certain later tonight.  We now take you back to Amber for our next match.

(The Jumbo-Tron once again shuffles through the remaining competitors and lands on Cosmic Storm)

AMBER ADAMS:  This match is a first-round match in the Galaxian Heavyweight Title Tournament and is scheduled for one fall.  Introducing first, standing 6’2” and weighing in at 248 pounds, ………. from Parts Unknown, ………. THE COSMIC STORM!!!!!

ADAM BECK:  There you see Cosmic Storm coming out with his tag team partner, American Vigilante,.....together, they form the tag team, The Champions of Justice.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  This guy here, I don’t know what his deal is, but he went all the way through his training at the wrestling academy, and not one time ever, did he allow anyone to see him without his mask.  That seems really strange to me Adam.

ADAM BECK:  We don’t know what his reasons are for doing so Andy, but we have to trust that he’s doing it for the right reasons, and not for anything that would be considered very shady at the least.  I mean, you never know, maybe he’s in witness protection or something, and he can’t allow anyone to see who he really is.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Yes, that is one possibility.  But another possiblility also is that he may be a wanted criminal.  I mean, who knows what’s really going on with the guy.  Let’s just hope it’s not for any of the wrong reasons, any number of reasons, that anyone can think of.

(The Jumbo-Tron shuffles again and lands on Richard, the Conqueror)

AMBER ADAMS:  His opponent, ………. standing in at 6’3” and weighing in at 280 pounds, ………. he hails from Rigel, ……… RICHARD, THE CONQUEROR!!!!!

ADAM BECK:  There you see Richard coming out with his tag team partner, Ronan,....and together, they will be teaming as The Galactic Raiders.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Watching this guy going through the wrestling school, let me tell you Adam, he is one ruthless individual.  He reminds me of Triple H back a few decades ago, with his ruthless agression that he constantly showed in the ring night after night.  I have a feeling Cosmic Storm is in for one tough match, and to beat it all, these guys have been friends all through the wrestling school.  Working out and training together, along with Ronan.  So it will be very interesting to see how this match will go down.

ADAM BECK:  Let’s just hope they have the kind of friendship that can withstand the rigors of this kind of business.  We’ll see if the friendship survives competing against each other for one of the richest prizes in wrestling, the right to be called The Galaxian Heavyweight Champion.

MATCH 4

***FIRST ROUND MATCH: GALAXIAN TITLE TOURNAMENT***

Saleem Hameed - Referee.png

Referee “Honest” Saleem Hameed

ADAM BECK:  Referee Saleem Hameed calls for the bell and this match is underway.  Richard, the Conqueror attempts  a rigel slam on Cosmic Storm and Storm blocks the attempt and sends Richard into a corner. Storm attempts a monkey flip in the corner and Richard moves out of the way, and Storm crashes hard into the turnbuckles.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Crash and burn baby.  That’s what happens when you don’t take the time to wear down your opponent first, before pulling off a move like that.

ADAM BECK:  Richard connects with a hard hitting lariat and Storm is down.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Hard hitting is right!  He dang near decapitated the kid!

ADAM BECK: Richard tosses Storm out of the ring and the referee begins the 10 count.  Andy you may have noticed Richard coming to the ring in that Romanesque type getup, like he is some kind of Roman soldier or something.  Do you know anything about that by any chance?

ANDY BUCHANAN:  No Adam, I really don’t.  He may be some type of Gladiator on his home planet or something.  Who knows for sure?  But let’s see what kind of warrior he is in this match.  That’s what’s important right now.

ADAM BECK:  Storm makes it back into the ring by the count of 9.  Richard is up on the top turnbuckle waiting for him and Richard connects with a knee drop off the top turnbuckle.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Man, that’s sure to cause a few cracked ribs.

ADAM BECK:  Storm is struggling to get back to his feet, and Richard with a massive uppercut punch and Storm is hurt

ANDY BUCHANAN:  A good way to knock some teeth out, which is hard to tell for sure with Storm wearing that mask.

ADAM BECK:  Richard whips Storm into the turnbuckle and Storm is smashed by a shoulder tackle by Richard and Storm is stunned.  Richard with a massive uppercut punch and Storm is hurt.

ANDY BUCHAHAN:  It’s a good thing Storm’s mask is red.  Because if he is bleeding by now, you could never tell.

ADAM BECK:  Richard with a wrist clutch suplex and Storm is down and slowly rolls out of the ring.  Richard comes out of the ring and knocks Storm headfirst into a steel post. Ref threatens DQ and Richard tosses Storm back into the ring and moves in for the kill.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Not only is Richard trying to knock the man’s teeth out, I think he’s trying to give the man a concussion.

ADAM BECK:  Richard with a one leg karate kick and, he quickly follows up with a hard hitting lariat and Storm is down.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  He danged near decapitated him on that one.

ADAM BECK:  Richard with a triangle choke!  Storm is down!  Will He tap?!  Storm reaches for the ropes and the referee forces a break!  Storm slowly rolls out of the ring!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Richard has pretty much dominated this match from the beginning. He’s hitting Storm so hard with everything he’s got, and Storm is in retreat, trying to gather whatever senses he has left.

ADAM BECK:  Richard comes out of the ring to continue the fight, but Storm grabs him and body slams him on the concrete floor outside the ring.  Ref threatens DQ and Storm tosses his hurt opponent back into the ring and continues his assault.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Richard made a crucial mistake right there.  He allowed Storm just enough time to catch his breath, and it came back to bite him.

ADAM BECK:  Storm with an armbar and Richard escapes and hits Storm with a gut wrench suplex and Storm is down.  Richard, once again with a triangle choke, attempting a submission, but Storm hangs on!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I’ll tell you what Adam, this kid Storm must be one tough character.  Because he has endured a very brutal beating from Richard since the start of the match, and he’s still going!  Much like the Energizer Bunny, he’s still going.  Also, Richard showing that ruthless aggression I was talking about earlier.

ADAM BECK:  Storm reaches for the ropes and the referee forces Richard to break the hold.  Richard attempts a bell clap on Storm and, blocked.  Storm whips Richard into the ropes and Richard comes off the ropes with a powerful shoulder tackle, knocking Storm to the mat.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Man, that looked like a linebacker football tackle there. Are you sure Richard didn’t play football on Rigel or something like that?

ADAM BECK:  Storm struggles to get back to his feet and Richard hits him once again  with a massive uppercut punch and Storm is hurt.  Richard attempts to whip Storm into the turnbuckle and Storm reverses and throws Richard into the turnbuckle, and Richard moves out of the way at the last second.  Storm runs headfirst into the turnbuckle and Richard covers him for the pin and 1……….2………..and a kickout!!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Man, that was so close.  After all the beating that Storm has endured, look at the tenacity, the sheer iron will that is on display by Storm.  Man, this kid is pretty tough.

ADAM BECK:  Richard with a Tonga Death Grip, which he calls the Conquer Death Grip, going for a submission.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  That move was used by Haku in WWE several decades past, and also by Meng in WCW.

ADAM BECK:  Storm is able to make it to the ropes and the referee forces Richard to break the hold.  Storm quickly catches Richard with a german suplex and Richard is hurt.  Storm quickly follows up with a front facelock, but no, Richard escapes and hits Storm with a one arm backbreaker and Storm is hurt.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Man!  Storm will be very lucky if he doesn’t have a broken back right now.

ADAM BECK:  Richard with the one arm backbreaker once again, and Storm is really hurting right now.  Storm is struggling back to his feet and Richard with a massive uppercut punch and Storm is reeling.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I think that Richard is showing everybody just why he calls himself the conqueror.  Because he has pretty much conquered this whole match from the beginning until now.

ADAM BECK:  Richard attempts the one arm backbreaker but gets caught.  Storm quickly follows through with a neckbreaker and Richard is hurt.  Richard, struggling to his feet, and

Storm with an Angle Slam, that he calls the Cosmic Slam and Richard is down.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  That move of course was made famous by Kurt Angle, also a few decades past.

ADAM BECK:  Storm goes up top, and quickly launches off with a diving fist drop.  Richard, struggling to his feet and Storm hits him again with a neckbreaker

ANDY BUCHANAN:  It’s looking like Storm may have caught his second wind here.

ADAM BECK:  Storm attempts a shining wizzer and  is caught with a massive uppercut punch and Storm falls backward into the ropes and bounces back, right into another massive uppercut punch by Richard.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Man!  Those uppercuts would knock a normal man out.  But then again, Storm is definitely not an ordinary man.

ADAM BECK:  Richard with a hard hitting lariat and Storm is hurt.  Richard whips Storm into the turnbuckle and Storm is smashed by a shoulder tackle by Richard and Storm is stunned.

Richard attempts a one arm backbreaker and is caught and lands right into a Cosmic Slam by Storm.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  We talked about this with Chance Alexander, but Storm is also showing an impressive display of tenacity and resiliency here.

ADAM BECK:  Storm attempts a neckbreaker and is caught.  Richard with a wrist clutch suplex and Storm is down for the pin and 1………. 2………. and a kick out!!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  How in the blazes is Storm still in this match?!  He’s been taking a pounding the entire match and he’s still going?!

ADAM BECK:  Richard with a one leg karate kick and he quickly follows up with a hard hitting lariat and Storm is down.  Richard quickly locks in the triangle choke.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  If he doesn’t tap out here, I’ll be surprised.

ADAM BECK:  Storm makes it to the ropes and the referee forces the break.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Storm is definitely showing a lot resiliency as well as tenacity.  A lot of fortitude as well.

ADAM BECK:  Richard whips Storm into the turnbuckle and Storm bounces forward off the turnbuckle and into an incredible running slingshot by Richard.  Storm goes down hard to the mat.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Dang near decapitated him!

ADAM BECK:  Richard quickly goes back with the triangle choke and Storm is in a world of hurt by now.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  What is this guy, the energizer bunny or something?

ADAM BECK:  Storm makes it to the ropes and the referee breaks the hold.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Storm has to really be hurting right now.  He’s been taking a brutal beat down the entire time of the match.

ADAM BECK:  Richard with a wrist clutch suplex.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Taking a real good look at Richard here, and he’s just a real beast of a man.  He’s really dishing out a lot of punishment here.

ADAM BECK:  Richard whips Storm into the turnbuckle and Storm bounces forward off the turnbuckle and into an incredible running slingshot by Richard.  Storm goes down hard to the mat.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Richard is so brutish in his assault.  So methodical.  He reminds me of Triple H, as I said before, a real true competitor back in his day.

ADAM BECK:  Richard with a one leg karate kick and Storm staggers against the ropes and Richard quickly follows up with a massive uppercut punch and Storm is reeling.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Man, he just rocked his world with that one, nearly knocking his head up into the rafters!

ADAM BECK:  Richard with a wrist clutch suplex and Storm is down for the pin and a 1………. 2………. and a kick out!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I thought for sure the match was over right there.

ADAM BECK:  Richard with a one leg karate kick and Storm slumps into the corner!  Richard with a massive uppercut punch!  Storm is barely hanging on to the ropes and Richard again with a massive uppercut punch and Storm is wobbling!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  How is Storm even conscious right now?!

ADAM BECK:  Richard whips Storm into the far turnbuckle and Storm lifts a knee into the oncoming opponent’s head sending him down to the mat and Richard is stunned!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Storm has a chance now, if he can just stay on top of the guy.  Don’t give his opponent any opportunity to mount a comeback.

ADAM BECK:  Storm with a cosmic slam!  Storm goes for a running shoulder tackle and he misses.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  That was Storm’s window of opportunity, which unfortunately is now closed.

ADAM BECK:  Richard with a wrist clutch suplex and Storm is hurting from that one.

Richard, going for a double with a wrist clutch suplex.  Looks like Richard is going for a trifecta  with a wrist clutch suplex and Storm is down!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  With that series of suplexes, that reminds me of Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero back in their days with the German suplexes.

ADAM BECK:  Richard with a top turnbuckle knee drop.  You see him there taunting the fans.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Taunting the fans is not going to win the match.  He needs to stay on top of his opponent while he’s down.

ADAM BECK:  Richard with a massive uppercut punch and Storm stumbles into the ropes, Richard comes off the ropes on the far side with a hard hitting lariat!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  One thing I can say about Richard, is he’s really impressing me, more so than Chance Alexander.  He has such an aggressive, brutal style about him.

ADAM BECK:  Richard with a one arm backbreaker!  Richard picks up his hapless opponent and whips him into the turnbuckle and Storm lifts a knee into the oncoming opponent’s head sending him down to the mat.  Richard is momentarily stunned!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Now perhaps, the pendulum is swinging the other way in favor of Storm.

ADAM BECK:  Storm with a neckbreaker on Richard, quickly followed up with a knee drop to the back of the head and Richard is reeling!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Now that Storm has got him down, he needs to stay on top of him.  Don’t give him even a second to make a comeback.

ADAM BECK:  Storm with a cosmic slam and Richard is down.  Storm goes up top for a deathjump and Richard is dazed and stumbles to his feet.  Storm comes off the turnbuckle with a stunning cross-body block and covers Richard for the pin and a 1………. and a kick out!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  How did he kick out at 1?!

ADAM BECK:  Storm tosses Richard out of the ring, and Storm comes out of the ring to continue the fight, but Richard grabs him and body slams him on the concrete floor outside the ring.  The Referee threatens disqualification and , Richard tosses his hurt opponent back into the ring and continues his assault.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Whatever momentum Storm had has once again gone out the window.

ADAM BECK:  Richard with a series of stomps on Storm.  Richard picks him up and tosses him back out of the ring on the other side!  Richard comes out of the ring and knocks Storm headfirst into a steel post!  Referee again threatens disqualification and Richard just continues his assault outside the ring! Richard grabs a steel chair from under the ring.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  What’s he planning on doing with the chair?!

ADAM BECK:  Richard puts Storm’s leg and ankle through the chair!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Looks like he’s got some evil intentions in mind!

ADAM BECK:  Richard comes crashing down hard on top of the steel chair from the top of the turnbuckle and the referee calls for the bell earning Richard a DQ!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  My God, is this guy insane, or what?  He could end the man’s career that way!

COSMIC STORM WINS BY DQ (12:21)

AMBER ADAMS:  Here Is your winner by a disqualification, and advancing to the next round of the GALAXIAN HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT,………. COSMIC STORM!!!!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Yeah, good luck on him advancing.  He will do good to even stand right now, let alone compete.

ADAM BECK:   Storm would have the winner of the Alpha Wolf/Doomsday match.  But since he’s injured, the winner of the match will most likely receive a bye straight to the finals.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Yeah, and that’s a crying shame for sure.

ADAM BECK:  Here comes security and here comes the EMT’s!  Fans, this is a horrible situation here at ringside.  Fans, while they work on getting the ring area cleared, Let’s head to the back where Shelly Michaels is standing by for a special interview.

Shelly Michaels.png
American Vigilante.png

SHELLY MICHAELS:  Thank you Adam.  I am standing here now with The American Vigilante.  Vigilante, thank you for joining us.

AMERICAN VIGILANTE:  Not to interrupt you Shelly, but I want to comment on what just happened out there in the ring!  Richard, you ain't nothing but a snake and you need to have your stinking head cut off!  What you just did, that right there is personal.  That's my tag-team partner!  That's my best friend in this whole galaxy and he's like a brother to me!  You're going to pay for that Richard!!  Let me tell you, you're going to pay!!  The next time I get in the ring with your tag team partner, .... your little buddy, Ronan?!  There's going to be some payback!  Because I'm going to take it to him in that ring like his own daddy never took it to him before!  You feel me??!!  Now,..... now that that's out of the way, ..... Shelly, I apologize.  Go ahead with your questions.

SHELLY MICHAELS:  Vigilante, earlier in the night, you soundly defeated Ronan in quick fashion in your first round match of the tournament.  After the match was over, our colleague, Lori Michaels had an interview with Ronan, and he has challenged you to a rematch.  Not only does he won’t a rematch, but he wants a BEST OF THREE FALLS MATCH.  He says by doing a BEST OF THREE FALLS MATCH, that is the only way to determine who is really the better man.

AMERICAN VIGILANTE:  Well you see Shelly.  It don’t matter if he wants a BEST OF THREE FALLS MATCH, A BEST OF FIVE FALLS MATCH OR A BEST OF SEVEN FALLS MATCH!  I don’t even care if it’s a STEEL CAGE MATCH, A FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH, A NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH!  Whatever kind of match he chooses, I’m still going to kick his can six ways from Sunday.

I grew up on the streets of Philly.  You feel me?  I had to fight every day of my life just to survive.  So I sure ain’t afraid of a two bit punk like Ronan, walking around here, with his pal Richard, like they are some kind of Roman Gladiators or something.  Do you guys really think that’s suppose to intimidate me or something?  Well I’ll tell you right now, it doesn’t.

Anyway, to answer your question, yes, I accept your challenge.  You just name the time.  You name the place.  You name the location.  But I’ll promise you one thing Ronan.  You better be ready to have your can handed to you once again!  Especially, after what your pal Richard did to my buddy, Storm, here just a few minutes ago! Now can you dig it Sucka?!

ADAM BECK:  It is now confirmed, American Vigilante will face Ronan in a BEST OF THREE FALLS MATCH sometime in the near future.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I can’t wait to see that match.  Ronan may be getting more than he bargained for.

ADAM BECK:  Richard, the Conqueror has just stepped back into the ring with a mic.

RICHARD, THE CONQUEROR:  Cosmic Storm.  You disgust me.  You and I were the best of friends, going through the academy.  You and I could’ve been tag-team champions one day, once they have a tournament for the tag-team division. ,….. and now, coming here to Ratlick’s Reality, you feel like you want to cater to the fans?  That’s something that Rigelians never do.  Cater to the fans.  Oh, that’s right.  You’re not really from Rigel.  Are you?  Matter of fact, no one really knows where you are from.  Since you wear that mask, you refuse to let anyone know who you really are or even where you’re from.  You said you always aspired to be a pro wrestler.  You long to hear the cheers of the fans.  Then one day, while you were training, before I met you, according to you, you had a possible career threatening injury.    Which made you very despondent and very depressed.  You fled the very planet that you claimed to have loved.  Because you were embarrassed.  Ashamed of what your pathetic life had become.  Ronan and I found you in that bar where we met you.  Wallowing in your self pity and drowning yourself in your booze.

Ronan and I took you in.  We invited you back to Rigel to be with us.  To be like us.  Because you wanted to be like us.  You embraced the idealism of being a Rigelian.  You embraced our life style.  Our heritage.  Our way of life.  We all went through the academy together, and we worked with you to help train you, as we were also being trained.  Not just as a wrestler, but better than a wrestler.  We trained you to be a warrior, ………. and this is how you repay us?  By wanting to be loved and cheered by the fans?  These fans don’t really care about you.  Over time, they will learn to hate you.  They will start to boo you.  But go ahead.  Bask in the adulation and the cheers of the fans.  Enjoy it while you can.  But when Ronan and I get done with you,  let’s see how much support and love you will have from them then.  When we get done with you, you will be a shell of the man you are now.  You will be a shell of the warrior you are now.  You will be loathing and wallowing in your self pity even more than you were when we first met you in that dive of a bar where we found you.  You disgust me Storm.  After all we have done for you, from day one, you always insisted on hiding behind a mask.  You never would come clean with us and let us see your face.  What you really look like.  Who you really are.  You always want to be an enigma.  A mystery.  But go ahead.  Anyone who hides behind a mask, is either a criminal who don’t want to be found, or a coward, who doesn’t want to show his real face when he gets beat in the ring.   Now get out of my presence.  For the next time I see you, the next time Ronan and I both see you, we will make every attempt to put you down for good. (throws down the mic and leaves the ringside area.)

ADAM BECK:  Wow.  That’s kind of unexpected.  It will be interesting to see what happens from here on out.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  What will be interesting to see, is what happens when they meet again in the ring.  Because Richard is forgetting one thing.  He said they trained Storm to be a warrior.  Well Storm is going to be using that same training to take the fight back to them.  As far as their friendship goes, as far as standing the rigors of this business, I think it’s safe to say that the friendship has indeed come to an end.

ADAM BECK:  Hold on Andy, I’m just getting word that we have something going on in the back.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  It’s American Vigilante and Ronan!

ADAM BECK:  A brawl has erupted between these two men.  They are really tearing up the back stage area.  Vigilante whips Ronan into a wall.  Ronan with a poke to the eyes.  Vigilante bashes Ronan’s head into the wall.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  My God, his head may be busted open!

ADAM BECK:  Ronan is down on the floor.  He’s helpless.

AMERICAN VIGILANTE:  I heard what you said after the match.  You really think you can beat me?  Are you really that stupid?  It will be a cold day in hell before you ever beat me.  Richard!!!!  I hope you are seeing thins right now!!  Because this is just a taste of what's coming for your boy here!!!  Oh believe me, there's a lot more coming, and it will be delivered in spades!!!  Can you dig it sucka??!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Wow.  It sounds like Ronan has got his hands full with The Vigilante.

ADAM BECK:  Yes, indeed.  Take it away Amber.

AMBER ADAMS:  Six of the 8 men available for the tournament have already competed.  So there are only two men that remain.  This match is a first-round match in the Galaxian Heavyweight Title Tournament and is scheduled for one fall.  Introducing first,………. standing 6’2”,………. weighing in at 270 pounds,………. He hails from Andromeda,………. ALPHA WOLF!!!!!

ADAM BECK:  There you see Alpha Wolf coming to the ring, with his pet wolf walking beside him, whom he calls Shadow.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  From what I understand, Shadow is very protective over Alpha Wolf, so I don’t know how wise it would be having him here at ringside during this match.

ADAM BECK:  From what I’ve been told, all Alpha Wolf has to do is give the command, and Shadow will stay at bay with no worries.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Let’s hope so, for Doomsday’s sake.

AMBER ADAMS:  His opponent, standing 6’3”,………. weighing in at 270 pounds,………. he hails from Brymstone,………. DOOMSDAY!!!!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  This Doomsday character is one creepy dude.  He comes to the ring with those eerie snake like creatures,… whatever they are, and I hope he keeps those things far away from us,…. that’s for sure.

ADAM BECK:  I’m with you on that one Andy.  100% with you on that one.  The way I see it, they might just be a quick snack for Shadow.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  If Shadow eats those things, they might give him heartburn.

ADAM BECK:  Or make him sick.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Yeah, that’s all we need.  Having a wolf barfing at ringside.

ADAM BECK:  That’s the last thing I want to see.

MATCH 5

Referee “Strict” James Adkins

ADAM BECK:  Referee James Adkins calls for the bell and this match is underway.  Alpha Wolf with an inverted atomic drop, and he quickly follows up with a Superman Punch that he calls the Alpha Wolf Strike!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  A punch like that will knock you into next week!

ADAM BECK:  Wolf with a head butt smash and he quickly scoops him up and nails him hard with a burning hammer!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  That’ll do a number on the old vertabras.

ADAM BECK:  Wolf attempts a head butt smash, but Doomsday blocks and lands a viscious  jawbreaker on Wolf.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  That’ll knock your teeth out for sure.

ADAM BECK:  Doomsday with a blatant use of a foreign object, clearly out of the referee’s view, and Wolf is down

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Would you expect anything else from a guy like Doomsday?

ADAM BECK:  Doomsday with a spiked piledriver that he calls THE END IS NEAR and Doomsday goes for the cover and a 1………. 2………. and a kick out!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Man, that looked like a nasty move right there.

ADAM BECK:  Doomsday, picks him up and again with THE END IS NEAR and Wolf is down for the pin and Doomsday goes for the cover and 1………. 2………. and 3!!!!!  DOOMSDAY GETS THE WIN!!!!!

ADAM BECK:  There we have the first four matches of the tournament and three more to go!  It would be four matches, but it has been confirmed, that Doomsday will indeed be receiving a bye straight to the finals.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I can hardly wait to see the end Adam, and find out who our champion is going to be.  Whether it’s Chance Alexander or American Vigilante that faces Doomsday, they are going to have to really work hard to pull off a win, because in fact, they will have wrestled one more match than Doomsday, since he is receiving a bye.

ADAM BECK:  I can hardly wait myself Andy.  But case in point on what you just said, wouldn’t Doomsday essentially have the advantage in that final match?  Since he is receiving the bye?

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Yes Adam, you are correct, I completely agree with that statement, 100%.

ADAM BECK:  We would like to take a quick moment to remind you that next Saturday, January 7, 2040, we will have the debut of our first monthly show, called SATURDAY NIGHT SLAM!  This show will air the first Saturday of every month.  Our main event match will feature the winner of this tournament, putting his title on the line, against the other finalist in this tournament.

ADAM BECK:  Dragon with dragon sleeper that he calls DRAGON SLAYER and Stealer is down for the pin and a 1……….2………. and a kick-out!!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  A couple of near falls already.  But just a matter of time before someone gets the win.  I mean they’ve all wrestled once tonight already, so they have to be tired going into this match.

ADAM BECK:  That’s true, but they did get to rest throughout the course of this tournament so far.  Kodiak throws Dragon from the ring and Kodiak comes out of the ring and knocks Dragon headfirst into a steel post.  Kodiak tosses Dragon back into the ring and Stealer is waiting to finish him off and hits him with a double underhook DDT.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  He gets his bell rang on the steel post just to get hit with a DDT.  Ouch!

ADAM BECK:  Crusader with a head scissors on Stealer and only to get caught by Kodiak with a Bear Claw!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  So Kodiak has Crusader in a Bear Claw while Crusader has a head scissors on Stealer.  Okay!

ADAM BECK:  It seems that way.  Dragon catches Kodiak with a neck breaker, and Stealer waiting in position and whips Dragon into the ropes and leap frog!  Stealer gets into position for a back-body drop, but Dragon leaps over the top and into the ropes again.  Dragon comes off the ropes and Stealer sends him flying through the air with a jarring back-body drop.  Dragon is stunned!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  The action is getting so fast and furious, it’s hard to keep up with who’s doing what.

ADAM BECK:  Crusader catches Stealer with a choke on the ropes and Kodiak hits Crusader  with a Kodiak Slam and Crusader is down!  Dragon immediately follows up with a shooting star press on Crusader!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  And Crusader is definitely down!

ADAM BECK:  Stealer with a diving clothesline on Dragon and Kodiak quickly follows up with a Kodiak Slam on Stealer.  Crusader with a Tazzmission that he calls the Celtic Sleeper Grip on Kodiak going for a submission.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  For this type of match, you pretty much need to have eyes in the back of your head.  Have to keep your head on a swivel at all times.

ADAM BECK:  Dragon with a European Uppercut on Crusader and Stealer with a hard right fist to Dragon and follows up with a high falling elbow drop!  Kodiak whips Stealer into the ropes and Kodiak gets into position for a back-body drop.  Stealer comes off the ropes with a knee to his head, knocking down!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  It would appear that so far, neither man has a decisive advantage.  It looks like each man is just basically stick and move and don’t be the one who gets caught.

ADAM BECK:  Crusader goes up top for a deathjump and the ref is trying to stop Crusader from climbing to the top, Crusader tells the ref there is no DQ in this match.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  What  the heck is wrong with this ref?

ADAM BECK:  Crusader climbs on up to the top and smashes Stealer with a flying knee drop!

Dragon catches Stealer and hits him with a Liger Bomb that he calls the Blue Bomber and Stealer is down!   Kodiak follows with an open left hand slap on Dragon, followed up with Crusader hitting a middle turnbuckle legdrop on Dragon!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  It seems like just as soon as one man hits a move on someone, someone else is immediately hitting one on them.

ADAM BECK:  Kodiak with a running power slam that he calls the Kodiak Slam on Crusader.  Stealer with a flying lunging clothesline on Kodiak and misses.  Dragon with a European Uppercut on Stealer and Dragon goes for the cover and 1……….2………. and a kick-out!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  A near fall there, but to be quite honest Adam, I’m surprised no one has been eliminated yet.

ADAM BECK:  Just goes to show the heart and compassion, the drive and hunger of each one of these talented athletes.  Crusader with a spin kick on Dragon and misses, only to get caught by Kodiak with a gutwrench suplex, and oh, Dragon blocks the attempt, and Stealer with a jump kick to the head on Kodiak and misses, and Kodiak with a German suplex on Stealer and that one connects!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  And with authority from the big 450 pound behemoth!

ADAM BECK:  Stealer whips Kodiak into the turnbuckle and Kodiak lifts a knee into  the oncoming opponent’s head sending him down to the mat. He is temporarily stunned.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  That’s a ginormous knee right up side his noggin!

ADAM BECK:  Crusader with a leg hook on Kodiak and caught.  Kodiak with a Bear Claw on Crusader.  Dragon grabs Kodiak and whips him into the ropes and Leap Frog!  Dragon  gets into position for a back-drop, but Kodiak leaps over the top and into the ropes again.  Dragon gets into position for a back-body drop, but Kodiak surpises him with a perfect sunset flip and a cover, and 1……… and a kick-out!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I would have thought that would have been more than a one-count right there, especially with Kodiak taking him down.

ADAM BECK:  Stealer with a running clothesline on Kodiak, Crusader slips in behind with a Celtic Sleeper Grip on Stealer!  Dragon hits Stealer in the back forcing a break and Dragon with a Blue Dragon Driver on Stealer and Stealer is down!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  If I was one of these guys in the ring, I would try to work with the others and try to take out Kodiak first, since he’s the biggest one in the match.  That would be my strategy.

ADAM BECK:  What a sound strategy that would be as well.  Kodiak with an open left hand slap on Dragon and misses.  Dragon with a throat chop on Kodiak and misses.  Kodiak with a belly to belly suplex on Dragon and caught.  Crusader hits Kodiak from behind knocking him down and follows up with a Steiner Recliner that he calls the Irish Horse Clutch and Kodiak is down!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Just think Adam, one of these four men will become the first contender for the Galaxian Championship.  After this night is done, and the rematch for the title is finished, one of these men will have the opportunity to become the next Heavyweight Champion.

ADAM BECK:  Yes, but not only that, they will also be entered into the tournament for the Interplanetary Championship as well.  Stealer with a diving clothesline on Crusader, and Crusader is down!  Dragon with a Blue Bomber on Crusader and Crusader is down and leaves the ring and Kodiak comes out of the ring and knocks Crusader headfirst into a steel post.  Kodiak tosses Crusader back into the ring and moves in for the kill, but Stealer hits Crusader with a diving clothesline and Crusader is down!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Good thing this is a no DQ match, or else, Kodiak might have risked disqualification there.

ADAM BECK:  Dragon goes up top for a deathjump and Smash!  Crusader is crunched by a falling knee drop by Dragon!  Looks like big trouble ahead for Crusader!  Kodiak with a vicious spear that he calls USE OF DEADLY FORCE and Dragon is down for the pin and Kodiak goes for the cover and 1……….2………. and 3!!!  Blue Dragon is the first one to be eliminated!!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Man, that USE OF DEADLY FORCE, that is definitely one vicious spear, coming from a guy the size of Kodiak!  He just about cut the guy in half!

ADAM BECK:  Kodiak with USE OF DEADLY FORCE on Stealer and Kodiak goes for the cover and 1………. 2………. and 3!!!  Stealer has been eliminated!!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Man, he pulled out another one that fast! WOW!!

ADAM BECK:  Crusader goes up top and hits Kodiak with a flying shoulder tackle that he calls Celtic Liberation, and Crusader goes for the cover and 1………. 2………. and a kick-out!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  That flying shoulder tackle is much like doing a spear on the mat, but it just wasn’t enough to put Kodiak away.

ADAM BECK:  Crusader goes up top for a deathjump on Kodiak and Kodiak alertly raises a knee to the oncoming opponent’s head.  He is hurt and down!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I think I saw some teeth fly from his head!

ADAM BECK:  Kodiak with an open left hand slap, and he quickly follows it up with a powerbomb!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  With authority!  Just about planted him through the ring!

ADAM BECK:  Kodiak with a Kodiak slam and Crusader is down!  Kodiak is waiting in the corner, waiting for Crusader to get to his feet, and he hits him with USE OF DEADLY FORCE and goes for the cover and 1………. and a kick-out!!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  How in the blazes did he kick out of that?

ADAM BECK:  That’s a very good question, for which I don’t have the answer.  Kodiak with a powerbomb toss and he goes for the cover and 1………. 2………. and a kick-out!!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Again he kicks out!

ADAM BECK:  That just goes to show the heart, the drive, the determination that this young man has.  The intestinal fortitude.   Kodiak with a decapitating clothesline and goes for the cover and 1………. 2………. and a kick-out!!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  It’s amazing to me how this young man is still going.

ADAM BECK:  Kodiak with an open left hand slap, followed up with a full nelson drop and immediately with a Bear Claw, going for a submission!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Kodiak is just working this poor kid over.

ADAM BECK:  Kodiak with a face smash with the knee and quickly scoops him up and plants him with a deadly power slam!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Nearly drove him through the canvas!

ADAM BECK:  Kodiak goes up top for a deathjump and Crusader alertly raises a knee to the oncoming opponent’s head and he is hurt and down!  Crusader with a spin kick and he misses.  Kodiak with a massive big boot to the face and Crusader is down.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I thought for a second there that Crusader was making a comeback, but no such luck.

ADAM BECK:  Kodiak with a decapitating clothesline and this capacity crowd is going wild!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  It’s great to be here tonight Adam, to watch history in the making.

ADAM BECK:  Kodiak with a massive face smash with the knee,  followed with a hard punch and, and again with a Kodiak Slam and goes for the cover and 1………. 2………. and a kick-out!!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  The fact that this kid is still alive in this match is really amazing.

ADAM BECK:  Kodiak with an open left hand slap, followed with a Kodiak Slam and Crusader is down as this capacity crowd roars in approval!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  This crowd seems to really be behind Kodiak here tonight!

ADAM BECK:  Kodiak with a decapitating clothesline and goes for the cover and 1………. 2………. and 3, and Kodiak gets the win!!!!

AMBER ADAMS:  Here is your winner,………. KODIAK!!!!!

KODIAK GETS THE WIN (10:08)

ADAM BECK:  Looks like Kodiak is asking for the mic.

KODIAK:  Hey!  I may have just lost my opportunity to win the belt.  But that’s no biggie.  There’s always another day, right?  So, all of you guys out here after your matches, claiming that you’re going to be the champ.  Well, I’ll tell you what.  Whoever gets the belt, you better be looking over your shoulder.  Because one day,…..and one day soon, I will be coming for you.  I have just earned that right to challenge you for that title.  I won this match, and I have my second chance to contend for that title.  So when that day comes, I will kick your sorry butt all over this ring, and I will take that belt from your dying hands, and I will be the NEW……GALAXIAN CHAMPION!!  No one is going to stop me, ….. and once I get it,…..ain’t no one going to take it from me!  Because anyone that tries,……will be left laying half dead in this ring…..in a pool of your own blood.   (throws down the mic and walks away)

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Wow!  That’s a bold statement.

ADAM BECK:  We just received word from the back, that Cosmic Storm has received a severely broken ankle at the hands of Richard, the Conqueror.  With the type of injury he has, he will be out for possibly up to 8-months, while he heals, goes through rehab and therapy, and training for his return to the ring.  Our condolences go out to Storm and his family.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  We also received word as well Adam, that Mr. Ratlick is expected to deal with this matter with Richard, the Conqueror, next week on SATURDAY NIGHT SLAM.

ADAM BECK:  Alpha Wolf just came down the aisle and asked for a microphone.  Now he’s climbing into the ring.

ALPHA WOLF:  Alright people, listen up.  I was just in a match with Doomsday earlier, and things didn’t exactly go my way.  It seems I had a little problem with coming up a little short on a victory.  Which never would have happened if the match was one of the kind of matches that I usually like to compete in.  You know the kind, hardcore matches, falls count anywhere matches,….yeah, things like that.  The kind of matches that have no count outs and no DQ’s.  So, I am out here now to issue a challenge to that little monster, that little demon from Brymstone, who looks like the boogey man you would see in some cheesy horror flick.  Yeah, Doomsday, I’m talking about you.

I am challenging you to a falls count anywhere match, anytime, in the near future, on Saturday Night Slam!  So um, if you got the guts,….I want an answer by the end of the show.  So,…..yeah.  That’s all. (throws down the mic and leaves the ring)

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Wow, that’s huge.

ADAM BECK:  You’re doggone right Andy, that is huge.  We have a challenge from Ronan for The American Vigilante to meet him in a Best of Three Falls Match sometime in the near future.  Then Chang-Li also challenged Chance Alexander to a Special Tag-Team Match, also for sometime in the near future.  Now Alpha Wolf comes out here and challenges Doomsday to a Falls Count Anywhere Match on one of our future shows of Saturday Night Slam.

What’s that?  I just got word from the back that next week on Saturday Night Slam, Chance Alexander will most definitely face Chang-Li in a special tag-team match.  Each one picking a partner of their choice.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Looks like our premiere episode of Saturday Night Slam and beyond is going to be huge.  We have those three challenges that have been made.  Plus, we begin first round matches in the Interplanetary Title Tournament, also next week.   I can hardly wait.

ADAM BECK:  Right now fans, we want you to take a special look at Doomsday, who will be in tonight’s main event, against American Vigilante.

(Video highlights of Doomsday start to play, highlighting some of the greatest matches of his training in Ratlick’s Wrestling Academy)

AMBER ADAMS:  Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the owner and CEO of Ratlick’s Reality, MR. RATLICK!!!!!

AMBER ADAMS:  This match is scheduled for one fall,………. and is the final round of the Galaxian Championship Tournament,………. and is the final match of the evening.  Introducing first,………. standing in at 6’4”,………. and weighing in at 265 pounds,………. he hails from Philadelphia, PA, Earth,………. The AMERICAN VIGILANTE!!!!!

His opponent,………. Standing in at 6’3”,………. and weighing in at 270 pounds,………. hailing from Brymstone,………. DOOMSDAY!!!!!

ADAM BECK:  There you see referee Saleem Hameed as he holds up the belt, to signify that this is a championship match.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  This is what everyone has been fighting for, all night tonight.  This is the match that everyone came to see.  Right Here, in Ratlick’s Reality, for the GALAXIAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP.

MATCH 8

***FIRST ROUND MATCH: GALAXIAN TITLE TOURNAMENT***

James Adkins - Referee.png

Referee “Honest” Saleem Hameed

ADAM BECK:  Saleem Hameed calls for the bell and this match is underway.  Doomsday goes for a rake with the nails, and caught.  Vigilante with a hip toss, and Doomsday is back to his feet right into a flying snapmare by Vigilante, and this capacity crowd is getting right behind Vigilante.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I think it’s clear to see that this crowd really likes Vigilante.  I’m sure he’s the favorite going into this match.

ADAM BECK:  Vigilante with a northern lights suplex, Doomsday back to his feet and Vigilante with an Angle Slam, and Doomsday is down for the pin and 1………. and a kick-out!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  It’s just too early in the match to go for a pin.  He needs to wear him down more.

ADAM BECK:  Vigilante with a STAR SPANGLED BANNER, and Doomsday is down for the pin and 1………. and a kick-out!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  He just keeps going back for the pin.  It didn’t work the first time, and what does he do?  He goes for another pin.

ADAM BECK:  The crowd now starting chants of “Vigilante, Vigilante, Vigilante”, as Vigilante goes for a standing dropkick and he misses.  Doomsday with repeated throat punches, and the crowd starts to boo.  Doomsday again with repeated throat punches, and then he taunts the crowd, just to get a rise out of them.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Doomsday doesn’t care.  He’s from Brymstone, a hellish like dimension with nothing but suffering and misery.  He just doesn’t care.

ADAM BECK:  Doomsday with a knee drop to the lower back, and again with a knee drop to the back, and Doomsday just reveling in the chorus of boos from the fans.  Doomsday goes for a jawbreaker, and caught, Vigilante with a bulldog, and the crowd goes wild.  Vigilante with a northern lights suplex, and Doomsday is down!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  It’s feeling electric in this arena, Adam!

ADAM BECK:  Vigilante with a roundhouse kick, and followed with a bulldog, and Doomsday is down!!  Vigilante picks him up and hits him with a butterfly suplex, and Doomsday is down and slowly rolls out of the ring!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  The heat’s getting a little too hot in the kitchen, so he decides to bail.

ADAM BECK:  So Andy, what do you think Doomsday’s strategy should be at this point?

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Well, right now, he’s trying to recoup and get his wits and his senses back, and also trying to catch some wind.

ADAM BECK:  Doomsday going over to taunt some fans here at ringside, and In order to meet the referee’s count, crawls helplessly back into the ring.  Vigilante is waiting to finish him off,  Vigilante tosses him right back out of the ring!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Why?!  What’s that going to prove?!

ADAM BECK:  Vigilante comes out of the ring and a wild brawl erupts!  The referee is threatening to DQ Both of them if they don’t take it back to the ring.  The referee is out of the ring now and trying to separate these two.  They both shove him to the side, and the ref has had enough, and calls for the bell.  Both men are disqualified!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Aww, for crying out loud, come on!!  Are you stinking kidding me?!  That means we are leaving here tonight without a champion!!

ADAM BECK:  I don’t know Andy.  We need Mr. Ratlick out here to make an official ruling on this.

MR. RATLICK:  (comes out of the entrance way with mic in hand)  No, no, no, no, no.  This is not going to happen.  This is not going to end this way.  The fans came here tonight and paid good money to see a championship match.  Not only that, but they came to see a clear cut winner.  This match is not going to end in a DQ.  Not on my watch.  This match is too important to end in a DQ.  So referee, we are going to restart this match and it will be a NO DQ MATCH!  Start the match now!!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Good call by Mr. Ratlick.  I’m glad he came out here and cleared that up!

ADAM BECK:  Very good call by Ratlick.  Vigilante with Blind Justice!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  That move was used by Jeff Hardy a few decades back and he called it WHISPER IN THE WIND!

ADAM BECK:  Vigilante with an Angle Slam, and Doomsday is down and leaves the ring!  Vigilante comes out of the ring and a wild brawl erupts!  Vigilante tosses Doomsday back into the ring and continues his assault.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Good thing it’s now a NO DQ MATCH!  Sure wouldn’t want another DQ.

ADAM BECK:  Vigilante tosses Doomsday back out of the ring, and Vigilante comes out of the ring to continue the fight, but Doomsday grabs him and body slams him on the concrete floor outside the ring.  Doomsday picks him up and tosses Vigilante back into the ring and continues his assault.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Looks like the tables have turned and now Doomsday is in control of the match.

ADAM BECK: Doomsday with a head smash into a ringpost!  Vigilante falls to the mat! Doomsday going up top and launches off with a flying elbow that he calls Brymstone Bludgeon, and Vigilante is down for the pin and 1………. 2………. and a kick-out!!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  I really thought he might have it right there.

ADAM BECK:  Doomsday goes for a swinging neckbreaker, and caught!  Vigilante with an Angle Slam, and this crowd is about to blow the roof off!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  The excitement in here is so thick you can cut it with a knife!

ADAM BECK:  Vigilante with a northern lights suplex, and caught!  Doomsday with a running clothesline, and Vigilante is hurt!  Gets back to his feet and Doomsday with repeated throat punches!  The crowd is getting behind Vigilante, trying to will him on.  Doomsday with a knee drop to the lower back, and Vigilante is in a world of hurt!  Doomsday turns to taunt the fans.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  He needs to quit worrying about the fans and focus on the match, or else Vigilante’s going to capitalize on him.

ADAM BECK:  Doomsday whips Vigilante into the turnbuckle, Reversal!  Vigilante reverses the move and throws Doomsday into the turnbuckle.  Doomsday bounces forward off the turnbuckle and into an incredible running slingshot by Vigilante.  Doomsday goes down hard to the mat.  Vigilante is basking in the cheers of the fans!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  As I was just saying, Vigilante would capitalize.

ADAM BECK:  Vigilante with a GTS, which he calls Let Freedom Ring, as this deafening crowd roars with approval!  Vigilante picks him up and whips him into the ropes.  Doomsday comes off the ropes and Vigilante sends him flying through the air with a jarring back-body drop.  Doomsday is stunned.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Doomsday should have focused on the match like I said, now he’s paying for it.

ADAM BECK:  Vigilante whips him into the ropes again, Doomsday comes off the ropes and Vigilante sends him flying through the air with a jarring back-body drop.  Doomsday is stunned.  Vigilante goes up top and launches off with a top rope splash which he calls the Liberator Eagle!  Doomsday is down for the pin and 1………. and a kick-out!!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Looked like he was so close for the win!

ADAM BECK:  Vigilante picks him up and throws him out of the ring.  Vigilante comes out of the ring and, picks him up and gives him a piledriver on the concrete floor.  The referee begins the count and Vigilante crawls back into the ring!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  It will be a crying shame if Vigilante wins this on a count-out!

ADAM BECK:  Well a win is a win, is it not?

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Well yes, it’s a win, no matter how you get it.  But it leaves to question whether or not he is truly the better man, because he didn’t get a pinfall over his opponent.  Especially in an important match as this!  The very first crowning of our champion!  The final match of the tournament!

ADAM BECK:  Regardless Andy, the referee calls for the bell as he has won this by a count-out!

ANDY BUCHANAN:  Yeah, what a shame.

ADAM BECK:  Well, that's a very good reason we are having a rematch next week on SATURDAY NIGHT SLAM.  Then we can have a clear cut winner.  As you can see folks, confetti is falling from the ceiling.  Balloons and streamers are falling as well, in celebration of our very first Galaxian Champion, The American Vigilante!  He is being presented the belt by a couple of some very good pretty ladies, and they both are kissing him on the cheek.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  He not only gets the belt, but gets the ladies too?

ADAM BECK:  It sure looks that way.

ANDY BUCHANAN:  He's one lucky dude.

VIGILANTE WINS BY COUNT-OUT (7:21)
